Hockey players enjoy Gay Lea chocolate milk

May 25, 2010

Delegates Neil Modler and Phil Morrison, along with the Leeds Dairy Producer Committee and the Dairy Farmers of Canada, thought that it would be a good idea to promote “real” chocolate milk as a ‘Sports Recovery Drink’ with the players and the fans of the Fred Page Hockey Tournament in Brockville at the end of April 2010. The Leeds Dairy Producers Committee came up with the idea of giving chocolate milk to the players after every game as well as providing free samples to the fans during the games. The milk was extremely well received by both the tournament organizers and public.

The Fred Page Cup Tournament determines the Canada East Junior “A” Champion. The teams came from New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario. The Brockville Braves won the championship and will represent Eastern Canada at the Royal Bank Cup in Brandon, Manitoba.
