Introducing the Gay Lea Foods On-Farm Sustainability Program
Simple. Practical. Farmer-Focused.
Supporting Gay Lea Foods members in adopting sustainability practices that reduce on-farm greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining productivity, profitability, and on-farm excellence.
Built by farmers, for farmers. This program was built through collaboration with staff and dairy farmer members. A group of 5 delegates and directors helped build this program which was then piloted by 15 delegates for final approval. This program aims to provide a farm specific overview of what sustainability strategies (BMPs) you are already using and recommend ones that you might not have thought of.
